A Peruvian Cobaya this Guinea Pig Loved

Calamari   My first adventure into the COBAYA dining experience did not disappoint.  For those of you unfamiliar, it is a mystery dining club of sorts.  Sign up on the email list, receive an announcement with the date for the next dinner, respond in the affirmative and pray that you win the lottery.  You are notified about five days out if you have been selected.  There is no mention of where, who or what.  The time and location is only provided two days... Charming New Home for Sale in Biltmore Heights

Front Elevation 2 I just listed a delightful 3 bedroom 2 bath family home on a quiet, tree-lined street in the Biltmore Heights section of Miami.  Biltmore Heights is a wonderful neighborhood nestled between Coral Gables and South Miami. This 1,649 square foot home features pergo and tile floors and a living room, dining room, family room, laundry room and updated kitchen.  Beautiful wood cabinetry and granite counters highlight the kitchen which also includes a breakfast counter that opens to the dining room. The air conditioning, replaced in 2009, has a maintenance contract and the roof, completed in 2011, is still under... Continue Reading >

Komodo Kool

IMG_5620 Thinking of heading down to Brickell for dinner?  Check out Komodo, the swanky new contemporary Southeast Asian restaurant that melds nightclub vibe with upscale cuisine. Jeffrey Chodorow (of China Grill) and club entrepreneur David Grutman (LIV) joined forces to create this tri-level hot spot that serves up great signature cocktails at all three bars. The Cucumber Basil Martini was a winner. Although the food was good, for me, this venue is all about the electric lounge atmosphere with club music, indoor-outdoor spaces and floating bird's nest pods. Let's Talk Food The menu offers an interesting array of... Continue Reading >

Pinecrest Home Sales 2015 – The Annual Report

Pinecrest Sales 2015 - 1                     Each year, I create a comprehensive market report that subdivides single-family home sales in the Village of Pinecrest into quadrants, with SW 112th Street representing the division between north and south and SW 67th Avenue representing the division between east and west. Harmonious Homes with a Musical History

PercyLodge2_copy In honor of the Grammy Awards and Valentine's Day, I'm sharing a few romantic homes once owned by musicians. Percy Lodge, an 18th century English country home, was once owned by Bad Company rock drummer Simon Kirke. Villa Grasse, with stunning views of the Côte d’Azur, was once owned by French composer and harpist Germaine Tailleferre. Blue Velvet was the Sarasota, Florida home of legendary singer Bobby Vinton. This Santa Fe, New Mexico adobe home was once the former residence of the late Glenn Frey. Courtesy... Continue Reading >

Homeowners of all ages don't want to drive.  They want to walk into town, grab a bite to eat, throw back a few and shop or catch a movie.  It's a beautiful thing...log in a few walking miles and avoid parking hassles, costs and driving under the influence. But buyers also want... Continue Reading >
