The Village of Pinecrest has a population of 18,138 and is known for beautiful acre properties and highly rated public schools. Pinecrest is a little piece of suburban paradise with lovely parks and it’s own police force. Police Chief Jason Cohen along with Captain Edison Cruz, and Councilmember Shannon del Prado met with my Pinecrest neighborhood watch group last week to report that crime is significantly down. The main culprit of crimes are car thieves looking for fancy cars in the driveway with keys left in them. The police department is busy installing license plate readers in the main intersections to help catch these car thieves. Crime Mapping Pinecrest
