The Learning Experience: Not Your Run of the Mill Fashion Show

The Learning Experience (TLE) graced us with its 20th Annual Fashion Show this afternoon and there was not a dry eye in the house. I’ve attended this fundraiser many times over the last twenty years, ever since Alexander Milne, my dear friends’ son, was in his very first show. Alexander has been a shining star on the runway ever since. I’ve watched Alexander, and many of his friends, grow up in this school where their disabilities have turned into capabilities thanks to the enormous support of families, friends and community who understand the tremendous need for schools like TLE.

The Learning Experience is a very special school for children with developmental disabilities. It provides children from kindergarten through adulthood an exceptional student education and nurturing social environment where they can mature into productive and well-adjusted members of society.
