Residents SPEAK Out for Pinecrest Dog Park

Parker Makes a Friend

Parker the Pinecrest Pup makes a friend.

What a huge turnout today at the Pinecrest Dog Park booth at Pinecrest Gardens Farmer’s Market.

Hundreds of people signed the petition SPEAKING out in support of a dog park at Veterans Wayside Park on SW 112th St and South Dixie Hwy. Folks were lined up to sign, many with their beloved dogs and many without.

Official Meeters and Greeters

The Pinecrest Dog Park Committee did an amazing job getting the word out – that the people of Pinecrest want a dog park at Veterans Wayside Park.    Mayor Lerner and her husband were there to show support as were Gary Matzner, former mayor of The Village of Pinecrest and Alana Perez , Director of Pinecrest Gardens.

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, offered to volunteer, made contributions and purchased t-shirts.  Special thanks to Jake McMaster (Parker the Pinecrest Pup) and his handler  Alex Sama.  Anyone have any idea how hot it must have been inside that dog suit?
