What could be better than cold, creamy gelato on a scorching hot day in Coconut Grove. Federico and Carla Di Franco, originally from Milan, just opened Bianco Natural Organic Gelato on Commodore Plaza.
Their authentic fruity Italian gelato is handmade with fresh organic fruit and pure mineral water. It’s also dairy-free and gluten-free. The creamy gelato is made from the milk of grass-fed cows and they also have some that are made from milk with almonds and coconuts.
Bianco’s imports the best Belgian chocolate, Criollo cocoa, Sicilian pistachios, Mediterranean almonds and Piedmont hazelnuts. They also serve Granita, a slighter slushier Sicilian dessert made from ice and fruit or ice with coffee or almonds. Also on the menu are fresh baked goods and café.
The neutral, clean and crisp décor is very appealing in this cheerful parlor and tables are spaciously spread out and inviting.
Owner Federico is behind the counter meeting and greeting customers and making recommendations on flavors, of which there are many.
They are open Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 9 pm and Wednesday through Sunday from 9 am to 10 pm. Hard workers – Delicious Gelato!
