Pinecrest’s Coral Pine Park Get’s a Facelift

I meanered over Coral Pine Park a few days ago to check out the new recreation center and sport courts down the street from my home.  WOW – it’s so welcoming, the space beautifully designed to bring the neighborhood together through recreation. relaxation and shared experiences.

The versatile new rec center can host up to 90 people for celebrations, meetings and community events. There are nine acres of parkland with mature trees surrounded by a beautifully lit perimeter path to the playground and exercise station.

I happened to stop by at dusk, as the lights were coming on, and all eight pickleball courts and five tennis courts were hopping.  The park was in full swing with players at one end, and a magical hush juxtaposed at the other.

My ownly disappointment was that they don’t allow dogs, even on leash.  I don’t understand this as it prohibits a huge group of people from enjoying the park with their fur family members. There is a lovely dog park in Pinecrest called Pawcrest Park but it’s not walking distance to my home.  For more info on Pinecrest Parks, check out Things to Do in Pinecrest.

Coral Pine Park is located in the Village of Pinecrest at 6955 SW 104 St .  It’s open from 8am to 10pm.   Reserve courts at 305-668-7258 or multi-purpose room rentals at 305-284-0900.
