It’s Regatta time at the Barnacle Historic State Park in Coconut Grove. Last year’s regatta was a sailors delight – a gusty, gutsy and wild ride that provided for great tales at the after party.

Check out the two events hosted by The Barnacle Society this Friday and Saturday.

Regatta Moonlight Concert: Ethan Parker Band

Description: Enjoy an evening of rhythm island music under the moonlight. Gates open at 6 pm. Lawn chairs and picnics welcome. No pets, please.

Cost: $10 Future members. $8 Members. $3 ages 6-9. Under 6 free.

When: 7-9 pm on Friday, February 19

 

Washington’s Birthday Regatta

Description: Sailors are invited to participate in boat races and a Chowder Party. Registration open to sailboats of traditional design.

Cost: $50 with registration by 1/31. $75 on or after 2/1. Includes chowder for registered sailors. $10 per addl guest.

When: Saturday, February 20. Registration 10 am. Skippers’ Meeting 10:30. 1st Signal at noon. Chowder Party 5:30 pm.
